My oral surgery was with Dr. Patino, who shares an office with Dr. Bergamini. The surgery was fine and everyone was pleasant at that time. However, I found out after the surgery that the doctors had dropped out of the network of my insurance provider just 5 days before my surgery and the staff had not told me on the day of surgery. I had done my due diligence at the time I made the appointment to make sure they were in my network, but that was weeks before the surgery. Because they were no longer in the network for my insurance provider, my insurance did not pay as much as it would have toward the final bill. Despite the fact that they had dropped my network just 5 days before my surgery and the fact that no one had told me on the day of surgery, they were completely unwilling to compromise on my final out of pocket cost. Additionally, they insinuated that I was lying about them having not told me of the insurance change. Although I did not have trouble with the surgery, I would NOT recommend either Dr. Bergamini or Dr. Patino since they share customer service/front desk staff. Take this as "Buyer Beware"--if you have any issues--billing/insurance or otherwise, don't expect support from their staff.
