Dr. Karpov is a terrible Orthodontist. She is negligent and greedy. She never takes responsibility for the mistakes she makes, and she does not follow-up with patients at all. Her treatment is not a good value. I know many people who have had much better experiences and paid a lot less. There are tons of much better orthodontist in NYC. I regret every starting treatment with her. She is an outright liar, and she did not fulfill the treatment she had promised me. I have been her patient for over 3 years, and my teeth are still crooked. She only cares about how much money she makes and will recommend treatments that increase her bank account even if they are not the best thing for the patient. Her dental hygienists have no idea what they are doing. They do not even know where the vaseline is. They do not know how to take x-rays and messed up my impressions for Invisalign multiple times that greatly delayed my treatment. Dr. Karpov basically does nothing. She lets her incompetent hygienists do all of the work. I have had appointments with her where she has not even looked in my mouth. She has made me waste time and go back to her office because she was not prepared for my appointment. She has zero respect for her patients.

About Front Desk: When I first started seeing her, I would get verbally abused by the receptionist who was eventually let go, I believe. Dr. Karpov never apologized to me for her receptionist's behavior. The receptionist now is nice but the office is still incompetent.
