I went to Dr. Levy once -- I waited 45 minutes to see him despite having an appointment. When I got in, he was friendly and comforting, he gave me samples of toothpaste and then examined my teeth. His equipment is older and he uses old school xrays (no digital cameras), but that's ok. He told me that I had several cavities that needed to be fixed. A couple weeks later, I received a whopping bill -- my insurance had only covered a minimal portion. And to my surprise, he even charged me for the sample of toothpaste. He is a nice dentist, but I wouldn't go back because of the cost.
