Everyone in my family loves Dr. Lay. Dr. Lay has a small, intimate office in the Santa Cruz mountains. His staff is excellent and I always leave cleanings with immaculate teeth. The hygenist I see regularly is a former Olympic skier, and she is very skilled at cleaning teeth and takes pride in her work.
It's very pleasant to sit in the chair at this office because each room has floor-to-ceiling picture windows that look out over evergreens and rolling hills. The chairs are also equipped with CD players and a rotating selection of music to choose from.
Dr. Lay is a gentle, detail-oriented, and skilled professional. His fillings have stood the test of time (so far) and I've never had any complications from the work. Dr. Lay also keeps detailed records of "watch spots" and trouble areas that may need work in the future but don't require immediate surgery.
Since I'm a chronic night-time grinder, Dr. Lay made me a mouth guard to wear at night. After I broke the mouth guard and he brought me in to fix it and make adjustments at no cost.
This dentist is well worth the trek up the mountain!
