I went to Dr. Jacobs to have my wisdom teeth removed, and the process could not have gone smoother. Dr. Jacobs' office in Chesterfield (he also practices at St. John's Mercy Med Center) is top of the line, with flat screen tv's above the examination chairs, modern equipment and a comfortable waiting area. His staff were very helpful in completing my insurance claim and associated paperwork. They were helpful and flexible in scheduling the surgery as well as the follow-up exam.
The procedure itself, for all my fears, was relatively painless. To accomodate my concerns, he used general anesthesia, and prescribed an excellent painkiller for the recovery period. He was exceedingly thorough in explaining what I would need to do in the weeks after the procedure to avoid dry socket and other complications, and also provided excellent instructions to the person who drove me home while I was still under the anesthesia. Following his advice, I experienced no complications, and I would highly recommend him for anyone who needs oral surgery.
