Dr Spencer was chosen out of the phone book after we switched dental plans. My daughter was seen by him first (I know, what awful parents! Using our innocent 6 y/o child as a guinea pig!) as she was due for a cleaning. we were unsure about her liking him, as she was pretty shy and he was not a pediatric dentist, but she immediately took to both Dr. Spencer and his staff. We even received some education on the status of her 7 'cavities' that her previous dentist had found; Dr Spencer went over her new x-rays with us and explained that with the exception of a very small cavity on a molar, her teeth were cavity free. (The previous dentist had found 4 cavities on 2 teeth. That number grew to 7 within 3 months). Setting our new insurance up with his office was a snap, and we found out that by using a plan along with our insurance, we could save even more money. My husband was accidentally charged more than his $5 copay when he went in for a cleaning ($54), and we assumed the charge was valid until I went in for the same thing and was charged only $5. Even though several weeks had passed, they were apolgetic and gave us an account credit. We plan on staying with Dr Spencer and have recommended him to friends.
