Veneers of most teeth. While I was extremely satisfied with cosmetic results, after 5 yrs, 2 veneers fell off. I am reluctant to return because the original procedures were very painful. I don't know why sedation or some other pain control methods weren't recommended. For the extent of work done, novacaine just wasn't adequate...at all. Also during a routine cleaning, I was having bleeding gums despite at least twice daily brushing with an electric toothbrush and flossing. Dr. Yahav was critical, almost yelling at me in asking if I was NOT brushing, if I was NOT using an electric toothbrush. After learning I was doing both, he "accused" me of NOT using a particular brand of electric toothbrush (I was)...basically blaming me for the problem. Later, I reviewed and googled vitamins, supplements, meds I was taking to see if any could cause gum bleeding. I cut back on ginko biloba and the bleeding stopped. Shouldn't he have asked about meds, supplements, etc. rather than my having to figure that out? And why be critical of your patients if you want them to return, especially if they have already expressed that they are fearful of dentist visits and have very sensitive teeth? The rest of the office staff were very pleasant and helpful.
About Hygienist: The hygienists I had there were thorough, helpful, pleasant, and answered questions in an empathic and educational manner.
