Dr. Brown came highly recommended. He has treated many of my relatives for years. I went to him after a bad experience following two crowns and a root canal on my lower left molars (other dentist). The crowns were much too high, affecting my bite and my night grinding had exacerbated the jaw pain, which was now chronic. I never had any tooth pain before having that work done, in my whole 36 years. I found Dr. Brown thorough and exhaustive in his diagnostic approach. Once he was convinced that the root canal was not at fault, he also ajusted my bite ever so minutely and that led to the jaw pain to eventually go away, at long last. The quality of his work is very, very good. However, his chair-side communication could definitely use an upgrading. While very pleasant as a person, he doesn't tell you what's going on while he works. He doesn't consult you either before making decisions, so while they are the right ones, they "feel" as if they're made on the spot. Scared patients (like me) NEED to know what's happening. And when asked for explanations, you don't ever feel you're getting the full answer from him, inexplicably. Patients need communication. You only have one set of teeth.

About Hygienist: Diane as a very gentle, no-nonsense and thorough chairside manner. I was made to feel confident within seconds of being with her. The quality of her work is very good, too. The quality of staff there seems to be in Dr. Browns's office definitely mitigates the low points previously mentioned (e.g. communication).

I know this doctor: 4 months
