For my extraction, they actually took x rays, reviewed a treatment plan with me, numbed me for extraction THEN took me out of dental chair to pay for procedure before extraction. I was shocked and numb. I had to do this with bib on in front of patients. That is a practice that is all about glamorous marketing, high tech office and about borderline unethical methods of collecting money. Listen she a nice lady and a good dentist but office etiquette is poor. They put on this friendly face but it’s about the money. I understand it’s a business but don’t play uis like fools please!
Yes they are high tech and offer you refreshments but they go for juggler for money. Even the hygienist was embarrassed to pull me off chair for payment. They must have been afraid I would not pay for extraction??
OK then 2 weeks later they inform me I need a mouthy guard. I say OK how much; well no insurance will cover it, so its $503. I am like what!? Aspen dental offers me a mouth guard for $120 and I thought that was high. Dr. Rabice gave me one or two for free a year earlier. OMG how can middle class family afford $500 for mouth guard. Maybe Dr. Belen should cut back on the glam advertising, technology and pass along reasonable prices to middle class patients? That’s a novel idea.
