What a great guy, I called him at 07am on a Sunday morning near the end of my shift, with a thundering toothache, and his response was "What time do you get off work, I will meet you at the office. He was as good as his word, driving from Lees Summit to Independence on his day off. He has never in 15 years hurt me, and has helped me overcome my fear of dentists (from being a Armed Services brat-those dentists are sadists.) Staff is always friendly, and caring. Dr Abernathy is the reason my children never had to fool with a pediatric dentist. He is kind, patient, and willing to listen even to a child's concerns. We all love him in our house.
