I didnt really feel comfortable from the first visit to Dr. Karen Hom. It was an emergency and I thought that she could help me, but instead she made me feel even worse about my teeth and made me feel like she thought she was better than me. Against my instincts I followed through with her treatment plan that consisted of going to several other specialists. I then was told to come back to her for finishing touches. Upon doing everything that she said I walked into my next appt. with her. She, again, made me feel like I hadnt taken good enough care of my teeth and like I was putting her out to do anything extra. Not only was she belittling me, but she was belittling her staff as well , in front of me. At one point I told her asst. that I would never come back to Dr. Hom due to her unprofessionalism and lack of bedside manner. Patients know that they have problems with their teeth, thats why they seek a dentist. We dont need them to make us feel like low lifes because at some point in our lives we could not afford to go to a dentist. I am very disappointed with her, and I wouldnt recommend her to anyone. It takes more than a degree to make a good dentist, attitude is everything. Dr. Hom could use some classes in tact.
