At first Dr Chimon looked like a good dentist. He promised to correct my dental problems (a few fillings, a couple root canals) at a pace I'd be comfortable with, and do all this by giving me the best price (my dental insurance only covers fillings, extractions and cleanings and me being a graduate student this was an important factor). We started with a root canal, and in all fairness I have to say the first treatment was pain free. However, the second treatment not so much, and Dr Chimon was reluctant to give me pain medication (for what reason I don't know, since I have no medical problems). I could not afford a crown ($$$), and Dr Chimon would not give me a temporary crown to help me out. I went back for another 5 or so fillings, and the service became gradually ruder every time. The doctor wanted to rush, he never discussed the treatment with me. While fillings were covered by my insurance, Dr Chimon charged me not only for the co-pay, but also for the difference between the insurance contract coverage and his full price. When I asked them about this, they said that I don't understand dental billing. All in all I definitely don't recommend him to anyone who expects a pleasant and caring service from the dentist.
