Dr. Chass does her own cleanings and generally does a good job, but one should be aware that she presses teeth close together when possible (claiming that this prevents food from getting stuck between teeth), that she prefers to put on a crown as soon as possible and that she loves to send you to jaw reduction surgery if a crown requires it.
She is one of the most professional providers you will find in the NYC area, but some of her practices are not necessarily the best way of solving a problem, only the most expensive. She also does not cover the area around the repair spot and does not rely on laser devices to identify cavities. She has digital xray capability and is quite good at interpreting the images.
All in all, this is a top specialist but if you want to save bone tissue or dentine, she may not be the best choice for you.
