I went to Dr. Johansen because another dentist allowed a dead tooth to rot in my mouth, nearly causing me to have to had part of my jaw removed! My first day with Dr. Johansen, he set me up to have a root canal and sent me to an excellent dental surgeon for the treatment. I have never had a problem with my root canal or my crown.
I also spent years with an aching pain my jaw and was diagnosed with TMJ...I went to special doctors but they couldn't help me. Finally Dr. Johansen took at look at my mouth and immediately told me that I didn't have TMJ but instead have Bruxism (teeth grinding)-- he made me a simple, cheap mouth guard that my insurance paid at least 50% for and my troubles have nearly completely subsided. I don't get headaches anymore and my jaw has stopped popping.
Dr. Johansen also taught me how to take better care of my mouth. Since I started seeing Dr. Johansen my teeth have gotten whiter, my breath has gotten fresher and I have had my first cavity-free appointment in my entire life! For someone with a lack of enamel, that was a pretty big day for me!
He is also very friendly, upfront and honest and I have NEVER had a billing or insurance issue with him!
