I went in for my first check up feeling fine. After x-rays, I was told I had a couple of cavities that needed fillings. I had them done that day. However, after the filling on one tooth, I kept experiencing sensitivity and pain. I went back in after calling to complain of the pain. They took more x-rays (and charged me for them). Then they decided the filling just needed to be filed down to correct my bite. Well, it still hurt weeks later and I went back. She prescribed Penicillan in case it was an infection. She said the tooth area was dark in the x-ray, but since cold didn't feel good, it didn't need a root canal. I did some research on root canals and the article I read said both hot & cold could indicate need for a root canal. I liked Dr. Shipet's personality, but I am reluctant to go back because my pain came after she worked on my teeth.
