Dr. Doneskey provides a unique option for the treatment of obstructive sleep apnea. I am an internal medicine physician and I have moderate apnea as proven in a certified sleep lab. However, I could not tolerate CPAP because of reactive airway problems. A number of patients with this disorder also do not tolerate CPAP, for different reasons. The oral appliance designed by Dr. Doneskey has improved sleep efficiency and daytime alertness. Some patients who travel, and who find CPAP cumbersome, utilize this oral appliance for convenience.
