The doctor is very laid back, as personalities go. He seems to have a wait and see philosophy for some things. I waited several days to get an appointment when I had tooth pain. I had expected to have my problem resolved after examining my teeth and doing a routine cleaning and xray. He didn't find the cause of the problem and suggested that some pain is common in older (I'm 55) adults teeth. I have had a severe pain relapse (major toothache) and suspect that I have a damaged filling in a molar from accidentally biting down on a peppercorn. I have made plans to see another dentist, although Dr. Pan did an excellent cleaning and has been very gentle and mostly painless. My experience may not have been typical, but I take pain issues seriously. I will resolve this problem with another dentist.
As a side note, I didn't see any other office staff at my last visit and Dr. Pan dealt directly with patients in the waiting room. Clearly, phone calls and reception duties should be handled by someone else.
