He put a gold crown next to an amalgam filling. This is a horrible mistake. Putting one metal next to a different metal causes current to flow and more important causes mercury in the amalgam to be released. After he did this, I found I had high levels of mercury vapor in my mouth. Whatever the cause of the mercury in my mouth, as soon as I found out about this mistake (putting two different metals together) I switched dentists.
