My MD referred me to Dr. Emison for the removal of a granuloma in the gum of my lower jaw. To begin with, I was kept waiting 45 minutes for my appointment. Second, Dr. Emison was very irritated that an MD would make a referral. Interesting when one considers that he has an MD himself. He told me he could find nothing wrong and that it was "all in my head." Fortunately, my MD referred me to another oral maxillofacial surgeon (who is also an MD) who removed the granuloma that I was "imagining". I was unimpressed by Dr. Emison's rudeness and by his inability to recognize and treat such a simple problem.
