Dr. Bergh is my son's orthodontist. He is not in our Dental HMO network but he came highly recommended by a friend. We interviewed several orthodontist (both in the HMO network and outside) and have decided on Dr. Bergh. During our first consultation, he frankly informed us that invisalign is NOT for my son and gave us a estimate in terms of the treatment length. My son felt comfortable treated by him for his professionalism and gentle demeanor, and above all, no sales pitch!
It turns out that we made a good decision. My son got his braces removed after 21 months (right within the dr's estimate of 18-24 months). There was NO drastic procedures like sawing off other teeth or extraction to make room for the crowding problem as proposed by other dentists. Also, he is very prompt! We never has to wait longer than 5 min. past our scheduled appointment.
Dr. Bergh charges about 5-8% higher than other dentists whom we consulted but his charges cover everything from broken brackets, popped wire, the first retainer and follow up. However, we could apply through his office an interest free loan for up to 2 years.
My son and I have no reservation recommending Dr. Bergh. I plan on having my younger son will go with him too
