I have had excellent experiences at HIdden Valley Orthodontics! They always spend extra time with me, as well as my daughter, who is a patient. My outcome was excellent. Their staff is great and both doctors answer all of my questions when I have any. They are the best in town regarding both adult and pediatric orthodontics. I would refer ANY family member or friend to their office.

I went to Dr. Michel's office with a near perfect bite and a few crooked teeth, and now--after three years of wearing his braces-- I have maloclussion. I complained, but Dr. M became arrogant and downplayed and minimized my concerns. So, I filed complaint with my dental insurance. The insurance found Dr. M ruined my bite and asked him for a total refund. So then, Dr. M. sends me a letter and asks me to sign away my rights to ever sue him-or he won't send me a refund! This otho is pathetic. He has displayed a pervasive pattern of neglect and poor ethics when dealing with me. LIkewise, the other ortho working for him (Dr. Fortney) once told me she should've 'caught the problem' (regarding the bite going haywire) but, suddently....after the insurance investigation found Hidden Valley Othodontics in fault--she's forgetting she said it. What kind of orthos are these? No matter. The insurance found them at fault. Sadly, this office wasted three years of my life and left me with maloclussion, crooked teeth, a cracked crown and a plethora of other problems. Now, I need to find another otho and spend more time (and money) for braces to correct what Dr. M. and F. damaged! Be careful when choosing this office.

This Ortho emailed me and confronted me on posting my opinion here!! Then he stated he "can't continue treatment' on me because I "bashed his office." I guess I can't express my experience without retaliation from this Ortho. How sad. Also, he told me in "25 years of ortho", I'm the only unhappy customer he's ever had! How amazing. Then, when I asked him for my x-rays he told me I need to pay for all of them, plus copying fees. Interestingly, he told me this in same email he confronted me on posting my opinion. I feel this Ortho is a narcisstic, passive aggressive man. He is more obsessed with his image than patient care. He failed to monitor my progress, which led to a cant developing over a four-six month period. Then, downplayed it. Also, ortho may have placed elastics wrong, which pulled jaw joint around, messing up bite. Yet, he claims I "had prior jaw problems. My question is: what ortho--even if I had undetected prior jaw problem--wouldn't have the latest technology to catch this, or during treatment--notice a cant developing? I'll tell you what kind: an office that shuffles people in so fast and relies on dental assistants to do most of work--they missed it!! What a terribly disappointing experience!

Office is too busy. Dentists breeze by. Poor monitoring of adult patients. Office goes overboard on frills and thrills. Needs to get back to basic patient care and elevate the standard of care one expects when paying a large sum to have teeth straightened. Bottom line: after three years of wearing braces, I have a cant that I didn't have before I went there. The cant developed within a 4-6 month period while I wore elastics. During this time, the dentists failed to see cant developing and now I'm still wearing braces and going through hell with office trying to get the cant fixed, because---of course--it's not the office's fault. I must have "had a prior jaw problem." Isn't that convenient. The good news is the Dr. Michel is still communicating with me and I'm hopeful--despite the bedlam associated with this experience--this treatment will have a happy ending and I come back and place a new review.
