Wonderful overall experience. My 2 yr old had to have two chipped teethe removed, and everything went fantastic! Not only was I a satisfied momma, but my daughter actually enjoyed her visit. She has asked me when were going back several times:) Dr. Sunden was professional, efficient, and great with kids. I would recommend this office to anyone.

I have been taking my three sons to Dr. Sundin and his staff ever since my oldest son (who is now 12) was 2 yrs old. They have had everything done there from rountine cleanings to ex-rays to fillings and even cosmetic repair work. My middle son (who is now 8 yrs old) is the only one who has ever required fillings for cavities (3 to be exact)! However, my oldest son fell on his face last year and broke one of his upper front teeth. This occured on a Saturday and Dr. Sundin and his team got us in for an emergency visit the following business day. I was rather impressed with his work and so was my child. Not only is he (along with his staff) friendly and professional, but they are genuinely great people who work well with children to render them exceptional service and in a timely manner. I also appreciate the fact that I have never experienced a problem with them not accepting their insurance (optima/medicaid). My children will continue to be patients of Dr. Sundin for as long as he is around. He is absolutely the best...hands down and yes I would and have recommended him to others.

About Front Desk: Tyler is one of two receptionists and she is great. She is always smiling and friendly whenever we arrive or leave. I have had few issues with scheduling their appts as they are always willing to work with me.

Dr.sundin does everything when my children comes in his office wether its a cleaning..or filling and more..My kids and I love him and his staff..He is very good .We live all the way in the Haygood/Bayside area and drive all the way to laskin road just togo to his office..i used other dentist before but wasnt happy..but im beyond Satisfied with Dr.Sudin..i would recommend him if your looking for a pediatric dentist

About Front Desk: Front desk staff is great.they are always polite..and thy always greet you when u walk in..and they knw all of there patients as soon as thy walk in the door.

My 4 year old daughter does not do well with dentist AT ALL she was was referred to Dr Sundin by her regular dentist because she needed crowns done and her regular dentist does not do in office sudation. The first consult of course went horrible because of my daughter being so anxious and afraid but the office staff and dr sundin did such an amazing job at talking her through and praising her for being so brave she felt like sucha big girl. today we had our second visit since last year and my daughter did amazing!!!! it shocked me how calm she was and once agin i was so impressed by the staff and i love how dr sundin continued to reassure my daughter that she was such a big girl and he allowed me to hold her hand the whole time!! even though it takes me 25 minutes to get to his office i ended up switching both of my children to his office. Love it there!

Dr. Sundin was amazing with my oldest son. My son was seeing another pediatric dentist because he kept getting cavities. We could not figure out why. Sadly, he had to have 4 crowns! I was so upset. When we went in for the procedure, this other dentist wanted to strap my child in a contraption that she claimed was normal for trouble kids. I refused. She said she would not see him again. So we went to Dr. Sundin. He said that as the mother, I had the right to chose how my son was treated. He patiently explained every one of my son's questions and when the time for the procedure came, he even helped teach him how to swallow a pill. Dr. Sundin treats children with respect and he does not downplay their needs or curiosity. This is not rude. This is a favor for later in life. I am now taking both of my boys to him and because of his suggestions, neither has had a single cavity since we started. Hands down, best pediatric dentist in Virginia Beach.

About Front Desk: Always helpful and willing to work with my schedule. Also, the site will not allow me to rate him a '4' in cost, but with my insurance, it's always extremely cheap!

Both of my children have been seeing Dr. Sundin for years and have also visited other dentists due to insurance changes in the past. None the less our kids still wanted to go back to Dr. Sundin. He explains things calmly and is honest at the same time. I do not want my children to live in a make believe world. They must understand what needs to be done . All of his staff are very nurturing and calm. Dr. Sundin has been doing this for a long time and is very good at his job! His office is clean and very eclectic and eye catching for children, with lots of art, books and toys and space to feel comfortable while waiting. We have never had any problems and will go to Dr. Sundin until the kids are of age. The cost is no more then anywhere else and possibly cheaper then some of the ones we have been to before with the soundproof doors and fancy high tech wall screens.... My oldest daughter wanted nothing to do with the sliding glass doorsand hour long waits to get her teeth cleaned. At Dr. Sundin's, the wait is never very long!!! We always leave knowing He took care of us!

About Front Desk: Front desk staff , they are very efficient and accommodating. I think they take almost all insurances and always call back promptly! They are very kind people!

I warn all of you!!!! Never take your children to this dentist. I had to take my child out of the chair to get out the office right after they sedate him and before the procedure. He is very mean, rude, animal. I feel like he treats my child worse than an animal. He said he has his own rules. You can not say anything. I almost call chanel 10 news. I am very upset. If you're stupid you take your children to Allan Suddin dentist. I am not that stupid anymore....

my children are 14,13,& 5. my two oldest have been at this dental office since they were about 4&5 or 5&6 I can't remember. the baby came on board as soon as had her first 2 teeth. my children have had teeth pulled to make room for the permanent coming in because the baby teeth weren't quite ready to come out, cleaning, fillings, enamel protector. They've been given a simple numbing to do procedures. I have never in all these years had a problem. my son has a major medical condition he has never had any problems. none of my children have ever said they weren't happy. the office is in Virginia beach, VA I live in Norfolk, VA. about 30min away. there's pleanty of dental offices in Norfolk even approx. 10 min away. I"d rather go to Dr. Sundin. Yes I have recommended this office and will continue to do so

About Front Desk: I've never met Ms. Michelle I think that's her name. Tylor the other young lady..........Awesome! She is very warm and very polite. We go of course every six months. She never fails to ask me if my son's medicine has any changes. She is definitely a five star. The young ladies that do the cleaning a five as well. they are so nice and caring to my 3. The youngest one has a particular hygienist that she likes to clean her teeth. Yes, the others are just as capable, but we no how lil people are......hard to convince it's okay, so she instantly put my lil one at ease, she's been cleaning her teeth for the past five years. overall great dental office!

My children had their teeth cleaned by him and he was rude. Not good with children at all. Two of my kids had to go back to have cavities filled so we returned a week later to have it done. they were really pushing the laughing gas, I don't know if they make money on it or not but they wanted to use it on both of my kids who have never had trouble getting fillings in the past. After we waited 45 minutes my daughter was seen, she was back there for 1 1/2 hours, she sat back there so long they had to numb her twice before they could even do the procedure!! Then they took back my eight year old son, and informed me that my daughter's appointment had taken so long that they could only do one of his fillings! Still pushing the laughing gas, as they called it, I told them that I thought he would be fine without it but if they thought he needed it to do what they wanted. Without numbing his gum with the ointment, he just went right in and started sticking my son with this needle! It's like they wanted him to overreact. After getting 4 shots, Dr Sundin sits the chair up and tells me we have to do it on a different day, I was furious! they gave him laughing gas and did the one filling, and made me make an apt. for the other!!! :/
