Dr. Nevins and his staff are a delight to deal with. The procedure was done with great accuracy and professionalism. I had very little discomfort ! I would recommend this offfice and Dr. Nevins very highly.

I am the son of a dentist who has been practicing for over 40 years and so while I am no expert in dentistry I have a better than average understanding of best practices and excellence in dentistry. I came to Dr. Nevins as a patient in poor shape, someone who needed implants, but had bone absorbtion issues. Not the worst of cases, but not the best either. I feel extremely fortunate that I had Dr. Nevins as my Periodontist. Every step of the way for the last year has been met with everything I could possibly ask for in terms of quality of care, use of technology, detailed explanations, clean and modern facilities & a very strong staff that I would also give my highest rating. Most importantly, I could not be more pleased with the results. I am approaching the point where I will be getting my crowns and the coordination between Dr. Nevins and Dr. Malament's respective offices has been tremendous. I might be jumping the gun a little, but I am 100% confident that the end result is going to be as close to perfection as I could ask for given my circumstances. I would be very surprised if Dr. Nevins was not universally accepted amongst his peers as one of the top periodontists in the country & I would highly recommend him.
I have nothing but superlatives for Dr. Nevins. I was referred to him only to learn I had advanced gum disease and a bone loss area around an infected tooth that was close to breaking through to my jaw nerve. He has brought me out of this situation with a pro-active plan that has proven remarkably effective. The affected tooth was pulled and the bone has regenerated itself sufficiently over ten months to permit an implant. LANAP laser gum "surgery" addressed other issues without pain or swelling. Dr. Nevins is superb and the technologies he is pioneering will surely become standard practice. I would give him my highest recommendation without reservation.

When I first found out that I had significant bone loss with 6-11mm pockets, I was to put it mildly stunned. I ultimately chose Dr. Nevins not because of his education, publications etc., but really because of the patient testimonials on his website. His patients talked about being previously told their issue was "too complex” and they couldn’t be helped and how Dr. Nevins instead said "I can help you". That comment right there had made all the difference to me.
From the time you walk into the office you absolutely do not feel like you are just another "number". You really feel like you are not only being taken care of but “your” progress is a priority. Dr. Nevins is very confident and seems genuinely interested in helping people. In my humble opinion, he and his practice have really raised the bar in healthcare.
Now for the LANAP procedure itself.. All I can say is everything you read about it appears to be true. When it was all over, and the Novocain had worn off, I didn’t even need a single ibuprofen for the pain. I am now six months out, and I am not only seeing healthy gums for the first time in who knows how long my x-rays showed the start of bone growth.
I couldn't be happier with my treatment.
About Hygienist: It doesn't matter who you see there everyone is great.
Dr. Nevins is more than a skilled craftsman. He is an inspired genius. I have had gum and other dental problems most of my life. I'm now 58 years old. Dr. Nevins and I are currently proceeding together on a clear and steady path to stabilize my entire mouth, optimizing my health prognosis for many years to come. This is due to Dr. Nevins' vision. Before coming to him, I spent two years with a different periodontist with no clear destination.
So far, I have had several precedures including tissue grafting, and all of them have been completely successful and pain free. Dr. Nevins has been more than meticulous with the 5 dental implants that have gone in so far, and I have no qualms about the three remaining to go in. Dr. Nevins always telephones personally the day after the procedure to see how the patient is doing.
Yes, it's expensive, but one expects to pay for getting the very best quality. I can't recommend him highly enough.
His staff is also very warm and yet highly professional. The front desk takes care of the insurance billing, and everyone knows your name after the first visit. Altogether it's a very positive experience.
I have a long relationship with this practice. Consistently excellent treatment. Warm and friendly staff. My impression is that Dr. Nevins is on the cutting edge (so to speak) of his profession. His strategies are generally conservative, but he is ready with state-of-the-art surgical intervention when it is indicated. He's the maestro! When you're going to let a guy put a knife in your mouth, you want the absolute best!
