When I first found out that I had significant bone loss with 6-11mm pockets, I was to put it mildly stunned. I ultimately chose Dr. Nevins not because of his education, publications etc., but really because of the patient testimonials on his website. His patients talked about being previously told their issue was "too complex” and they couldn’t be helped and how Dr. Nevins instead said "I can help you". That comment right there had made all the difference to me. From the time you walk into the office you absolutely do not feel like you are just another "number". You really feel like you are not only being taken care of but “your” progress is a priority. Dr. Nevins is very confident and seems genuinely interested in helping people. In my humble opinion, he and his practice have really raised the bar in healthcare. Now for the LANAP procedure itself.. All I can say is everything you read about it appears to be true. When it was all over, and the Novocain had worn off, I didn’t even need a single ibuprofen for the pain. I am now six months out, and I am not only seeing healthy gums for the first time in who knows how long my x-rays showed the start of bone growth. I couldn't be happier with my treatment.
