I had deep cleaning for pockets in my gums. I was able to avoid surgery thanks to Dr. Coats. He is always professional and friendly. I don't have dental insurance and go 4 times a year, but paying out-of-pocket is cheaper than insurance. The office staff is always friendly and recognize me as I walk in the door.

About Front Desk: They are very nice and helpful. I feel like I am visiting with friends when I go in.

Well my reviews on Dr.Coats & his staff is just plain AWESOME! I had dental implants done 4, and never had any trouble. i was very nervous at first and had heard so many bad things on implants, but Dr.Coats and his staff made me feel so comfortable & more at ease about doing procedure. I was put under sedation, they were so reassuring during and after procedure. i just love them there & Dr. Coats was amazing. I would definitely recommend Dr.Coats and his staff to everyone.

About Front Desk: very friendly & pleasant

About Hygienist: Well as the hygienist ~ omg they r the best in keeping up with my remaining teeth they use a baking soda spray that leaves your teeth so so clean

I transferred my service from Dr. Coats years ago for several reasons: (1) I don't like pain. Dr. Coats was clearly annoyed, rather than concerned, that I was in significant pain during a root planing procedure (through the Demerol and local anesthesia). (2) Apparently dated information and techniques. Dr. Coats is by all accounts a superb surgeon, and is in fact the past president of the Fort Worth District Dental Association. He nonetheless failed to inform me about intensive antibiotic therapy as a possible alternative to surgery. (3) Erroneous prognosis: I was told several teeth would not last more than 5 years, and several others would be unlikely to last 10. I lost one of these after about 4 years, as he predicted, but under my new periodontist's care, I have kept all the rest, with not a problem in the lot. (4) Failure of Dr. Coats's office to provide records to my primary dentist resulted in my losing a tooth unnecessarily. (5) General brusqueness. (Honestly, this probably wouldn't have mattered much if not for the rest.)
