Worked with Dr. Phan for 4 years in Childrens Hospital and I was his patient too. Highly recommended and his works are amazing!

Dr. Phan is a true perfectionist and an awfully kind person. I recommend him without reservations. It would be a mistake not to see him.

a crown chipped in half after 2 years- when I went in to fix it he was extremely rude - he numbed the area surrounding the crown - and after waiting for him to return for 45 minutes he said he would be able to complete the procedure in two hours... what kind of professional expects someone to sit in a chair for over 2 hours just waiting for the procedure ? -- my appointment was for 845- it was almost 10 when I asked when we would start- it was not until I asked that a Hygienist then said oh Dr Phan would like to work on you at noon--??? WHAT?! I WILL NOT RETURN THERE ---

Very competant, experienced no-nonsense dentist.
Dr. Phan repaired dental work botched by other several other dentists. Dr. Phan has sound judgement and is something of a minimalist, i.e. he doesn't try to aggressively treat every minor problem that he uncovers. His skill level is very high, certainly better than the faculty members at Harvard Dental school who previously had treated me. He also tackles problems one at a time, rather than tackling everything at once. This takes more time, but results in much better outcomes.
Dr. Phan is someone you can rely on to do things right and well the first time, particularly for complex or difficult cases like mine . Technical skill and judgement is top tier. A good guy for tough cases.
If sound medical judgement and quality of workmanship is your major concern, Dr. Phan is your man.
Dr. Phan is also a nice guy.

I was referred to this Prosthodontist from my Periodontist's office. I have only seen Dr Phan once and because of his thoroughness and expertise, I have transferred to him. My other dentist, Dr. Gitlin didn't seem to have the expertise to deal with my implant crown which broke.

Dr. Phan worked on my lower jaw rebuilt with bone grafts and my upper jaw (wired in place and broken). It was an extremely difficult set of work and the doctors at MGH said Dr. Phan was the best for a problem like mine.
I am an engineer and ask lots of questions about approaches and Dr. Phan spent lots of time with me to answer my questions and the questions of my family.
I no longer need special work, but I've kept Dr. Phan as my dentist because he is excellent.
