Very nice people and very good results. I have been going to this dentist office for many years and will continue. They don't give recommend unecessary treatments like so many other offices do.

Great personality but questionable practice when it comes to cleanliness & infection prevention, he had done work on my teeth & surprisingly not wearing gloves neither washing hands within the view of patient, if this is the way I practice at my work as a medical professional... I'll surely get a citation from state surveyor or even lose my license. Unfortunately I have treated enough patients with pericarditis & other infectious diseases after a dental procedure.

Dr. Ed was my dentist for more than five years. I didn't like the layout of his office in Del Mar. Felt the open exam rooms left me exposed to other patients with no privacy. The front office staff which I believe are his family were not friendly. One day I arrived for my usual cleaning and did not bring my insurance card, although I had this same ins. for years. I was told they could not service me w/o it. Since I lived around the corner I said I would be right back with it. The front desk woman checked to see if that would be okay but came back and said no, they can't wait the ten mins. it would have taken. So I had to reschedule. Another time I was going to have cosmetic work done and he is not a cosmetic dentist. I asked for my xrays to bring to another dentist and Dr Ed was rude and said he would have to charge me $10 even though I said I would bring them back immediately. They are my xrays which I already paid for. I liked the hygenist so that is the only reason I stayed as long with the office and gave a decent review above. It was an unfriendly feeling every time I went there. I've since changed dentist. The convenient location to me was not worth the bad feel of the office.

I found his staff rude. Not easy to work with. I had to wait so long one day, after more than one hour of not seeing any one I got up and left. No it was not lunch time, and yes I had waited for at least a month for an appointment.

The office was not well kept. The equipment seemed old and outdated. The dentist did a poor job looking at my teeth and giving me a professional checkup.

Overall an O.K. experience. Office is alittle run down and they all seem a little disinterested.

DO NOT GO TO THIS DENTIST if you want to feel as if you have received quality care. I went to Dr. Faraj Zadeh for a cleaning for myself (I am 41), my daughter's teeth crowding (she was 7, at the time) and another daughter's abcess (she was 4). The first thing I witnessed was the lack of cleanliness in the x-ray area. I stood and watched as one patient was getting x-rays. The tech taking the x-rays had her hands directly in the patient's mouth (of course) and touched the light, x-ray machine, and chair. What bugs me, is she did NOT sterilize the area, light or machine before I was asked to sit down! NO ONE sterilized any of it until I requested that they do so! Yech! Dr. F. wanted me to lie about what he was going to do so my daughter 'wouldn't be so scared.' - became irate with me when I refused to lie to her. Both daughters went through a great deal of pain with him. Chairside manners are nearly non-existent. Front desk, billing, and insurance were all easy enough and the cost was comparable to other dentists. People there are fairly 'unhelpful' and seem irritated if you want to ask any questions. I really recommend you look elsewhere for your dental needs.

Couldn't get emergency assistance when my temporary crown fell off. Receptionist can't understand English very well. Office closed during business hours a lot!

I would not recommend Dr. Faraj Zadeh (also known as Dr. Ed), some of his staff and his Poway facility. The receptionists were not helpful or attentive. I had to pull answers from them. We did like the Dental assistant who was knowledgeable and kind. Facitility was average. I gave them low points due to lack of spitting and rinsing tray. My daughter wanted to spit after her flouride treatment so I had to look around the room for an alternative. I found a box of plastic bags and we made due. Also I was getting motion sickness in his dental chair. The whole chair and instruments wobbled when I made a slight move in it. Dr. Ed was nice but he seemed like he was in a rush. He spent but a few minutes with us. He looked at my x-rays, tapped my teeth and then made a quick diagnosis. I had to draw his attention to my chip tooth, which he missed, to get his opinion on treatment.
