Horrible Dentist experience ever. I had been seeing Dr. Rao for years and during a trip at Thanksgiving the tooth she had told me was prone to break did. I had an appointment for a crown the following Monday and called to see if she would call me in an antibiotic. They called back and told me to go to Auburn oral surgery. It was 3 1/2 hrs away I told them. They said they would not call in any antibiotics. I immediately called Aspen Dental in Auburn they prescribed me antibiotics and finished my crown as soon as I got back from vacation. My daughter had 2 cavities filled last Friday. They called and asked if I could bring her early after they already rescheduled it once. I left work and came early to find they never took us early. A Dentist we had never met came and did her cavities and was assisted by an uncertified secretary. The reason I know this is they discussed it as I watched them work on my daughter. Also, as I watched her suck up my daughters cheek with the suction tool. I asked as we left about 2 baby teeth the orthodontist sent over for recommendation to remove over 2 months ago. She said no problem we can do it on Monday. I said what about anesthesia etc. She said no problem it would be Novocain just like a cavity. She was rushed and could not explain anything more. I am not bringing her back ever. You have better luck at a back alley dentist in a foreign country.

Service is horrible, had to call and leave multiple messages to confirm appointments with them and they canceled my appointment anyway. its happened multiple times. The dr herself treated me like a small child even though I am over 20 years old which was annoying.

About Hygienist: Kept talking about how she worked at a suicide hotline which was really obnoxious. Her long hair was not kept back in a good manner and kept going into my mouth. Disgusting!

My husband and I each only visited D. Rao once. However we were unhappy from the start. Costs and billing were not made clear an although we had the exact same services done, we were charge two different prices. We were told they accepted our insurance when this was not in fact truthful. When we needed to switch to another dentist who did take our insurance we were given the run around about our records. All in all, it seemed very much like a business where they were going to squeeze as much money out of you as possible. I don't trust people like that with my health or the health of my family.

About Hygienist: The hygienist was pleasant and fairly thorough. We were not unhappy with her, but the business practices of the office.

Dr. Rao and her Staff is the best in the area. I am a long-time "Dentist-Phobic" and this team of professsionals made me feel absolutely at ease with my extensive dental treatments. During my pregnancy, Dr. Rao took extra care to see that the procedures she was performing on me were safe and in concert with what my obstetrician found to be acceptable, I will be a patient of Dr. Rao for life, and I look forward to sharing a positive dental experience with my daughter in the future!
