Jin Yang doesn't care about your teeth. He just wants easy money. 1, My first filling done at Jin Yang fell off after only a few weeks. 2, One of my treatments at Jin Yang was extremely rushed because "the next patient" is coming. 3, After the filling is done, it protrudes above the surface and makes me uncomfortable, so I requested Jin Yang to smooth it out, but he rejected. He said "filing it down will harm you tooth. You will get used to it". Total BS. I guess the true reason was, well, "next patient is waiting". 4, OK, this one really grinds my gear. I hit my tooth really bad when I was ice skating 2 years ago. I went to Jin Yang. He took an X-Ray, and said "it looks OK". So no treatment was done. Now! That tooth turns out to be dead after the injury! Now I need to pay $1550 for root canal + crown! I used to have UCSD insurance! I could have saved a big deal with insurance but now I graduated and I have to pay out of my own pocket! Thanks Jin Yang! Bonus story: Jin Yang is a total lair too. On my first visit, he told me and my girlfriend "you both have dirty teeth, I suggest a deep cleansing". So yes. And when I actually did it on my next visit, he says your teeth are pretty clean. Jin Yang has no ethics whatsoever.

My family stays with Dr. Jin Yang for 9 years. I recommend him as a family dentist to you. He is careful and skillful. He only sees one patient at one appointment. My previous dentist saw four patients in the same time. That is why I stopped to see the previous dentist. Two of my children and I had braces done in Dr. Jin Yang's office. Great job! We also had the regular dental work done with him. Such as teeth cleaning and root canals. It is very convenient.

I've been with this dentist for a year and found he is not very reliable but only want easy money. One of my teeth was messed up by him but he took no responsibility and refused to do make up repair. I'm taking my business elswhere and definitely won't recommend him.

Dr. Jin Yang is a honest, skillful and knowledgeable dentist. I saw him 5 years ago as a patient after I had bad experience with the previous dentist. I had periodontal problem and decays. He was a new dentist in this town. I was trying to see him if I would be lucky to find a good dentist. I was nervous. He told me that I have a very good dental insurance from my employer and any copay he would let me know before the dental services (previous dentist billed me after dental work done and left me no choice for how much he would like to charge me!). After x-rays He discussed with me regarding my treatment plan. The treatment plan not only involved with the treatment procedures. It also considered my financial capability. After more than one year complicated treatment procedures he saved my teeth and gum. He is a nice guy with humor. I like him.

I do NOT recommend Dr. Yang. His facilities are insufficient. His communication with patients is non-existent. When I first saw Dr. Yang, I had not seen a dentist in over 4 years. I told him this and told him that I was concerned about cavities. However, he still did not take x-rays at my first visit. That should have been the first warning sign--how could he have sufficiently checked for cavities without an x-ray? Anyway, when I later asked him to refer me to an oral surgeon for my wisdom teeth, he did so without actually examining my wisdom teeth at all. I thought this was odd, but since I got my referral, I let it slide and had x-rays taken at the oral surgeon's office. I have since found out that the reason he did not do an x-ray is because he does not have an x-ray machine in his office. Like I said, how does he expect to find and treat his patients' cavities without the necessary equipment? On top of the fact that his office is not adequately equipped, his chair-side manner is about as warm and comforting as an ice-cube. Needless to say I will not be returning.
