I'm not a big fan of the dental chair. As a matter of fact, I've had a bad experience with a gruesome extraction of my wisdom tooth. When I mean gruesome, I mean a tug of war that left my left cheek bruised, jaw sore for several days and my thoughts dazed. That experience alone was a nightmare. However, some of my fears were lowered when I meet Dr. Paterick and his wonderful staff at North Garland Family Dental.
Dr. Paterick was a referral. I had 2 root canals on my lower right side that needed fixed. I was unable to eat certain foods and had to watch that side of my mouth like a hawk because my finances were not in order to take care of the problem. When the time came to proceed with my procedure, a friend had mentioned this doctor he found from the web. Like all dental visits, I went apprehensively. Once I got there and was introduced to the dental assistant, Debra, who would be working with Dr. Paterick, I started to lower my guard because I just felt naturally comfortable. One great service led to another and then Dr. Paterick walked in and his presence seemed right. His engaging talk had me convinced he was someone I could trust. For me, it was the best dental visit I've had so far.
