I do not recommend Kahn, if I had not gone to another dentist, I could have lost within one year three of my teeth. Kahn is not a good dentist. Two years ago, I felt a very strong pain in my tooth. When I went to Kahn, he told me everything was fine and prescribed me an antibiotic.... In a few months I started having yellow liquid leaking out of my tooth. Kahn said everything was fine and sent me back home. Then six months later he told me to do a root canal and crown on the same tooth... So basically he let the tooth die without doing anything about it... When Kahn started doing the root canal he told me the nerve for the tooth was already dead. He started doing the root canal himself and after torturing my tooth for 1 hour he was able to do only one of the three required canals. So after all this torture, he sent me to another specialist. I had to wait for two weeks to see the specialist and the specialist could not understand why Kahn did not finish it. Then after waiting for another month Kahn finally put on the new crown..all this cost me $3500. So I was hoping it would last. Unfortunately this crown only lasted two years. On my last appointment Kahn recommended to do extraction of one tooth that had a cavity, just because it was hard for him to fix. And to put a filling on another tooth. So I went to another dentist to get a second opinion. After he took and x-ray of these teeth. The second dentist told me I did not have to extract the first tooth, he fixed it with a filling saying he would never recommend extraction. On the second tooth which Kahn wanted to put a filling in, he said he could find nothing to fix. He also told me that I had a Major problem to worry about. Two Crowns, both put in by Kahn (one two years old, the second three years old), were poorly fitted and both letting food particles come up underneath the crowns. Both my crowns were in danger of losing the tooth beneath them due to decay if left alone. So I had to change two crowns and pay another $4,000. After talking to Kahn he explained to me that I had a problem with gums receding and it was not his fault. This response does not hold water because #1 as we get older we all have receding gums. And #2 I have a third crown in my mouth that is 10 years old (put in by another dentist). This crown is in perfect condition and shows no signs of decay underneath, nor was it affected by my receding gums.

Have been with Dr Kahn for several years. We moved to another city but travel to his location because we know that his work and that of his staff are 1st rate. The staff knows what they are doing - are fast, efficient, and effective. They are professional and get the job done on the required amount of time, but at the same time, make you feel like a valued customer and take the time, when needed, to answer every question so that you have a good understanding of what will happen or what the expected outcome is

Burke Dental Center is the best! The staff is friendly, accommodating, and on time. I was impressed with the warm welcome--even though I was anxious (I had to get a root canal), they put me at ease with movies playing and let me use an ipod. The hygienist takes her time and answers my questions. Their technology is sophisticated--they showed me photos of my teeth so I know they are being honest about the services needed. I've recommended Dr. Khan to all of my friends!

I was referred to Dr Khan by a coworker. At the time, I was having issues with my molar that was recently filled by my previous dentist. After going back for numerous adjustments, I was told that the tooth is cracked and needs a root canal, post and a cap. This would cost me over 2 thousand dollars. I went to Dr Khan for a second opinion. He took multiple pictures and evaluated the tooth thoroughly. He recommended I go with the most conservative treatment, i.e replacing the filling. He suggested that if the replacement did not take care of the problem, then he would look into doing a root canal. Its been 6 months and the tooth feels great. I found Dr Khan to be a very honest and gentle dentist. I live in DC and have no problem driving 45 minutes to see him.

Three reasons why our family has chosen Dr. Khan's dental office over others: 1. Family-friendly!!!! - I had 3 or 4 root canals done from start to finish with our 6-months old son in tow, and we both had a good time. Not only Dr. Khan and his staff welcomed our baby in the office, they also provided entertainment if my son was getting squirmy. 2. Honesty and quality - whatever work was done, it was thoroughly explained ahead of time, fees and prices clarified, no afterwork add-ons to the bill, and the service was absolutely fantastic. 3. Convenient schedule - the only dental office we've found in our area that offers Saturday appointments, a great find for my husband, an attorney in a large law firm in D.C.

I moved here from California and was in search of a dentist for my kid, who has a genetic disorder. My son had to be completely sedated to have any work done. It became very expensive getting an anthesiologist but I had no choice. Recently, my son needed a tooth to be taken out and I was certain that he would need to be put to sleep. Dr Khan, who is very gentle and polite, asked for my permission to proceed with laughing gas. I informed him about my previous experiences and the fact that my son has never had an extraction before. But he was confident that my son would be comfortable during the procedure. I had heard it before but I gave him a chance. Thirty minutes later, my son came out to the waiting room with the assistant. He was smiling and quite happy especially after he received a prize from the treasure chest. I was amazed. My son would throw fits at every little thing and Dr Khan was able to take a tooth out with out putting him to sleep. Soon after I went in for my first appointment and I got nothing but the best from him. He certainly won me over.

I was in dire need of dental work when I first came to Dr Khan. Recently, I had a root canal done by another local dentist which was very painful. So, not only was I very scared, trust had become an issue. Dr Khan took his time in answering all my questions. He assured me that I was in good hands and nothing was going to hurt. But thats what I was told by my previous dentist which did hurt me. To win my trust, Dr Khan brought me back and worked on just one tooth, and YES it was by far the best dental experience for me. I was sold. From there on, I had a series of appointments to complete all my dental work. I cannot thank him enough.
