His manner was offensive and arrogant. He wasted half my day, both visits, moving from patient to patient. I was in tears from the pain he inflicted just from giving me novacaine. His staff seemed apologetic for his poor chair side manner. The anesthesia wore off while he was with another patient. The worst dental experience ever.

I would exercise caution in dealing with this dentist's office in terms of appointments. It charged me for an appointment which I had no knowledge of and thus did not agree to, and did not even make reminder call which would have allowed me to dispute it. This was actually the second time the office had failed to provide the common courtesy that most dental offices provide in reminding their patients of upcoming appoinments. Very dissapointingly, the office was unwilling to consider it had actually erred in scheduling the appointment and was also unwilling to consider that it had neglected to make reminder calls alleging such calls are "always" made and that if the computer records stated there was an appointment, I had agreed to it. Although Dr. Patel, is in my estimation, quick, highly skilled and very knowledgeable dentist who will patiently describe procedures answering any and all questions thoroughly, and also has state of the art equipment, my son who is very stoic, experienced a lot of pain during procedures, also Dr. Patel told me he does not use nitrous (sp?) at all. He will see patients on Saturdays and in the evening, which is great, but watch your appointments very, very carefully and document everything.

I needed a new dentist and chose him after reading the 1st and 2nd (positive) reviews. But this was before the negative reviews were on this site. Now I totally regret seeing him. He is very harsh, aggresive, rude, argumentative and not friendly at all. He actually scares me. He put a filling on one of my teeth for my receding gum line and even though he told me he is very good at it (he bragged about it), he did a very poor job because it hurts more than before it was done. I went back and he said very rudely "I told you it would be sensitive!" and he made me purchase some $17 special toothpaste that did not help at all. I am going to change dentists and never see him again. He's a jerk!

I have never felt comfortable with Dr. Patel. He isn't very personable and is a bit harsh at times. He's done three filling for me and never gone one of them right on the first visit. On average I had to go back between 2 and three times per filling for adjustments. With the last filling I got he told me that it WAS NOT very deep and that he didn't have to put in a liner to protect the pulp. A month or so went by and the filling was still very sensitive to hot & cold and pressure. I went back to Dr. Patel and he contradicted himself and said that the filling WAS deep and that I will probably need a root canal. He wanted to have me get a very expensive mouth guard before we did the root canal because he thought that it may just be a bruised nerve. I opted to get the root canal. The root canal specialist confirmed that I indeed needed a root canal... I feel that Dr. Patel was just out to make an extra dollar by having me return for multiple adjustments because he couldn't get it right the first time. I will not be returning to Dr. Patel's office to have him finish the job. I am here now on Dr. Oogle.com to find a better dentist. Dr. Patel's office staff are very friendly and personable but I can't say the same for Dr. Tim Patel.

Well. He speaks compitently and offers a good treatment plan but his personality is a bit harsh and his procedures are too aggressive causing excessive pain and prolonged recovery in my case.

I've been with Dr. Patel for about two years, after I finally gave up my SF dentist (whom I really liked) to get service closer to my home. Dr. Patel and his staff run a clean, efficient office in which I've felt totally at ease. I've always been seen at or very close to my scheduled time and payment through my insurance has been as easy as could be. More importantly, I trust Dr. Patel, and feel confident that I am receiving great dental care. My teeth cleaning with Dr. Patel was my first with ultrasonic technology. Wow, does it clean. It really seems to do more, particularly under the gums, than all-hand cleaning.

I have switched my insurance coverage so I could continue to be under Dr. Patel's care. He is highly competent, personable and friendly. He wants the best care for his patients, and is not a money grubber like various other medical professionals. I had veneers done by Dr. Patel and am very satisfied with them. His staff is also very professional and friendly. I would recommend Dr. Patel higher than any dentist I've ever had.
