My son has autism and we began seeing Dr. Lantzy a few years ago. Initially we were really impressed with the care and attention to making our son comfortable. Today we had a hygenist that not only told my VERY literal, VERY anxious child that he had bugs in his mouth she continued to show him repeatedly how he should be brushing and continued rubbing a toothbrush around his already sore gums. He told her "ow" and made noises to indicate pain and she simply said, "oh you're just being silly". I asked her to stop the cleaning. We'd been there nearly 45 mins (not easy for a child with autism) when the doc came and proceeded to chastise my parenting for not getting my sons teeth brushed at night I nodded as he told me he didn't believe I would do what was best for my son. I could see my son visibly shaking from anxiety and asked that we please go...dr wanted to know what was wrong. When I tried to quietly whisper to him what the hygenist had already put my son through he told me I could sign papers to have my son transferred to another dentist. No sign at all that he was concerned for what my son had been through at the hands of his staff.

Not impressed with the bedside manner, at all. My son is a very anxious patient and needs extra comfort during cleanings. While the hygienist was very sweet - dr lantzy was not. Always seemed in a rush and didn't want to take time with my child to make him comfortable - instead he insulted my parenting by telling me "he has too much control at home ". I'm sorry, but that is unprofessional and rude!

GOT CHARGED ON A ROUTINE APPOINTMENT. I took my children to this particular dentist for the first time since I saw some good reviews. Had to schedule pretty far out in advance since we were first time patients, and that is unfortunately typical of most dentists. When we got there everything seemed to go well: nice environment, the lady at the front desk was friendly and they had a nice area for my waiting children to play. Here is where the ONE STAR comes. My young daughter was ONLY there for a cleaning. He "found" roughly $2000 worth of dental work. I got a SECOND opinion from another dentist and confirmed what he "found" was over the top. THEN they billed me for X-Rays that I was NOT aware of. This should have been a 100% COVERED appointment but apparently the dentist "decided" these X-Rays were "necessary". So BEWARE of EXTRA costs on "routine" cleanings and get a SECOND opinion when much, costly dental work is suggested.

Xray staff verbally abused my 3 year old daughter for not being able to bite down on her xray plastic. When I called to discuss, I was promised a call back, that never surfaced, I went to the office to discuss and ask what happened and, after a 30 minute wait was able to "discuss". I asked what happened and was greeted with "if you are looking for a fight" I tried to explain that I was look for a explanation. The reply was more confrontation to which I then realized that I was wasting my time. As long as you fit the profile they want to serve, I'm sure you will have no problem, but if you ask a question, prepare to be fired as a patient from their practice.

About Front Desk: Always very friendly and helpful, shame about the rest.

He is okay much better pediatric dentists in Southlake who don't have rude staff . Woman answering the phone states "don't lecture me in customer service" if that tells you anything

About Front Desk: Awful administrative staff. Rude , patronizing and sarcastic. He would be a decent dentist to go to if he took his blinders off to the women he has answering the phone there and checking people out with payment. T

My son LOVES Dr Lantzy and his staff. He actually asks if it is time to go to the dentist yet. I would recommend him to anyone needing a pediatric dentist.

My two girls have been going to Dr. Lantzy for a couple of years and they absolutely love when they have dentist appointments! He is extremely good with the kids and the hygenists are top notch as well! And he takes HMO dental plans. Which anyone who has this type of plan knows that great dentists are few and far between.

My company just switched over to a new dental plan and I was a bit hesitant to try a new dentist. We located Dr. Lantzy in Roanoke, only 9 miles from Flower Mound. The office was very accomodating and admitted our toddler when we had an emergency. The office staff, as well as Dr. Lantzy, was very attentive and informative. In short, we loved the atmosphere and felt it was very kid-friendly and had a knowledgable staff. Our toddler was very comfortable and received a cute little stuffed pony to hug during her tooth extraction. We even received a personal follow-up phone call from Dr. Lantzy the same evening. Very nice client service and I would highly recommend.

Dr. Lantzy and his staff did a great job making sure my son was comfortable for his first visit to the dentist. They made his experience fun, relaxing and very successful.
