STAY AWAY! Even though his staff is great and Dr. Hagstrom is a nice person, I DO NOT recommend him to anyone. I had a lot of work done by Dr. Hagstrom recently and have had and am still having major problems. He is good until he goes below the gum line. DO NOT get root canals done here. I also suggest that you DO NOT get sedation. You will have more pain sedated with Dr. Hagstrom than you will with only local anesthetic somewhere else. I am talking from experience. It is too late for me but if I can save another from what I have been and am still going through, this review is well worth the time.it.

Dr. Hagstrom is a competent dentist, but his billing charges are always overstated. It seems that his staff can never get insurance reimbursements correct, and consequently are always sending me bills that are not my responsibility. They also overcharge the insurance company by using incorrect codes. My son had a custom mouthguard made for wrestling, and the insurance company was billed close to $1,000. When I asked about it, I was told that it was an error, but I've noticed that they never submitted paperwork to correct the error. I'm looking for a new dentist.

Did a terrible job of manufacturing night guard with unnecessary pain and no proper adjustment.
Good at listening and explaining procedures but has multiple patients in at the same time.

I have very mixed feelings about Dr. Hagstrom. His office staff are very friendly and I felt well cared for by them. They are also his patients and the ones I knew had taken advantage of his cosmetic veneers. I went to him in an emergency when a filling fell out of one of my front teeth. That visit went very well and I was happy with the results. That is until that same filling fell out less than four years later. I had hoped to make Dr. Hagstrom my permanent dentist, but that didn't happen. I was told that all of my silver amalgam (?) fillings should be replaced. It was unclear if this was needed for medical or cosmetic reasons. To ensure that my insurance would pay for them, he said he would mark that they all had decay around them. He said that in fact only one did. I was happy about this at first. Then, when I only had enough money to replace one filling, I asked which one really needed to be done. His staff couldn't tell me. I began to feel that cosmetic concerns outweighed medical ones in that office. At that point I decided to find another dentist. The office is very welcoming and beautiful. An excellent place for kids as there is a large play area and the front door has a stained glass unicorn in it.

Dr. Hagstrom set me up with a brand new smile. I am 42 years old, and have fought dental problems my whole life. After many years of trying in vein to save my teeth, when the front tooth broke off at the gum line, I knew it was surrender time. Dr. Hagstrom and his entire staff were incredible from the moment I walked through the door. They all went out of their way to make my first visit an incredible experience. Each visit thereafter, was the same, a truly pleasant experience, and they are great people. I have my new dentures now, and they are beautiful. I am no longer embarassed to smile, and Dr. Hagstrom has been a godsend for me. I cannot compliment the man enough. As well, his entire staff is incredible, and they make you feel at home, and they as well go out of their way to make you feel special. They take the time to talk with you, laugh with you and make you feel as though they're your friend, which oddly enough, is how I feel about them. Dr. Hagstrom uses sleep dentistry, so you do not remember the experience, and my pain, although bad at times, has been controlled by painkillers. He is concerned that you do not feel any pain during or afterwards. I highly recommend Dr. Hagstrom.
