I have had Dean Saiki as my dentist for at least 8 years. He is the best dentist I have ever had, and I am over 60. He has state of the art technology and methods. He is also the nicest guy! Very honest and conservative in his treatment. Gives a GREAT shot of novocaine! I have recommended him to friends for years, and they are always happy later!
About the cost... I have had crowns, cleanings, check-ups, x-rays, and fillings, but it has always been covered by insurance. Don't remember what the costs were. I feel certain he is average in his charges. He can make his own crowns, so no temps! Very cool!
About Hygienist: Ophelia is wonderful! She is so gentle and thorough. My teeth are squeeky clean when she is finished with me. She has been with Dr. Saiki at least as long as I. His staff all love him!

Dr. Saiki has been my parents' dentist for at least 20 years, and mine for 9. I am very happy with his work. He keeps very up to date with his facility and methods. Very friendly and caring, and so is his staff. Love his dental hygienists. I always happy to recommend Dr. Saiki to friends who ask for recommendations.
I honestly cannot say how expensive he is, as I have dental insurance through work. I would guess he is in line with others in the area.
About Hygienist: I just love Ophelia! She is great and gentle.

When I was in Italy in 2009 I broke my front crown. Dr. Saiki referred me to an oral surgeon, who operated to reveal more of the tooth. Dr. Saiki then did a four-tooth crown for the front--perfect color match, fit, and function. Now he is doing a crown for an implant that an oral surgeon did. In the past, I have had anesthetic injections by him--absolutely pain-free. He is always professional, courteous, and good-humored. One never feels rushed or hurried. Top recommendation.

Dr Saiki saved me from an over priced, and over procedure happy nightmare HMO Dental office. His dental recommendation saved me thousands of dollars not to mention dental pain and suffering from the nightmare HMO Dental office I went to for a teeth cleaning. His fees are very reasonable, he's compationate, and has excellent chair-side manners. He is very conscientious about dental recommendations - he lets you know if a particular procedure can wait months or years. Then he actually does watch what you've put on hold. I can't say enough good things about him. However, his front desk person just seems to rub me the wrong way. She is very nice, but she gets under my skin.
About Hygienist: Olivia is the best - I have been seeing her since 2004. I have very bad receding gum lines and she has never hurt me while working on my teeth. She is also very thorough in her work.

I used this dentist for a couple years. On the day of my operation, Dr. Saiki was not there but another Dr. of his friend. I heard he was on vacation. It was very uncomfortable being operated by unknown Dr.. I wish I could have a choice or at least being notified.
Plus, they often gave me wrong estimates of the costs. They told me it is not their responsibility, but mine.

Dr. Saiki is the best! When my daughters were kids, they liked going to Dr. Saiki, and there were even fillings involved. I too had to switch my insurance and had to leave for a few years and it was horrible. I couldn't wait to get back to Dr. Saiki. His staff is friendly and helpful. He makes dental work near painless. We are glad to be back, and would recommend Dr. Saiki highly.

Dr. Saiki and his staff are the best in the area. I have been seeing Dr. Saiki since I was a little girl and I was just getting my teeth in. Him and his staff are so gentle and kind and make you feel so relaxed. I always enjoy walking into the office and being greeted by the same staff that used to welcome me when I was a little girl. They have seen me grow up and I love to know that their Dentist family is as welcoming as I would like them to be Their practices are the best and I would never change my dentist and I hope in the near future I can take my kids to Dr. Saiki and his family of professionals.

From the receptionist that greet you all the way up to Dr. Saiki himself, you feel the professional, friendly "like family" atmosphere. You get honest, easy to understand, diagnosis and options explained without the feeling of "I'm waiting for your decision". To have a better dental experience then with Dr. Saiki's team would require something of a miracle. You can't go wrong with Dr. Saiki's Dental Team. After all, they were just recently awarded top Dentist in San Diego....and it shows.

Love him. He goes by Dr. Dean. and I wouldn't trust anyone else. A friend referred me to him b/c you don't feel his injections, and they were right. He is painless, personable and always makes you feel at home. His staff is one big family that has been together a long time so they all make you feel at ease. I trust his opinion on taking good care of me.
