In the whole he is a competent doctor, experienced and attending. Yet a couple of my feelings and a crown had to be reworked over the years. Also his medical staff changes very quickly, always a different nurse which is somewhat uncomforting.

I visited Dr. Goldberg for a routine cleaning and X-Rays. He was recommended by a coworker. For the cleanings, I was satisfied. The hygenists were excellent. However, I was a little disappointed in his service as a dentist. He diagnosed my need for additional filling in a wisdom tooth after I had requested it to be pulled (after already being filled). Halfway through drilling, he decided he was wrong. Another cavity filled seemed really sloppy to me (and painful). Meanwhile I could hear a guy in a neighboring room complaining on how painful his procedure was going. He has some modern conveniences, but not many. I also didn't like trying to be sold on teeth whitening when many dentists have already commented on how incredibly naturally white my teeth are. Overall, if you are looking for cleanings, this might be a good bet. If you are working for extensive service, look elsewhere.

I had full mouth cosmetic dentistry completed. It was a tiring experience, but well worth the long appointments and delivery time. He made sure my teeth shades were bright and white like i wanted, but not too unnatural from my natural teeth. It ia a very busy office. The staff is always willing to help and explain as much as they can, esp. with the insurance situation. I also had zoom teeth bleaching and even though zoom is advertised to take only one hour, they kept me for 3 hours until my teeth showed as much progress as possible. it was done very thoroughly. Its not spa dentistry, but I dont want to pay spa dentistry prices either. I wanted a job well done and i got it. THANKS Dr. G!

I went to see Dr. Roland Goldberg at the plaza of UTC Renaissance last year as a result of my toothache. The appointment was quick and the staff seemed friendly. But after they took my x-rays. Dr. Goldberg claimed that I had periodontitis before he even look at the x-ray result. He started telling me how serious my my aching tooth was and started calculating how much I would be paying. He told me he bet the x-ray result would look really bad. I knew it was just a simple infection because I had a small wound at the gum the other day while eating fish. Later when he received the x-ray film from his assistant. He mumbled the tooth did not look so bad at all. Right then, I walked out and I will never come back.

I requested the work I had done pre-authorized. DrGoldberg sends me a bill over a year later for $2000 saying the submitted the billing wrong and I owe them. The work was done in 2003 and I'm still disputing the bill. I know 2 other people Dr Goldberg did this to ... BAIT and SWITCH!!!

Very busy doctor. Therefore not enough time to explain to patients. I never had problems. Needed 3 adjustments after placing a filling. Only to hear 6 month later, that the filling is too big and need to be replaced by a crown.

A fairly busy practice. Very pleasant staff and service. Ths prices were average for the area, not as high as some of the neighboring facilities. The doctor was very gentle and efficient. The front desk offered as much assistance as possible and explained all my treatment cost options. The front area was a bit small and could use some remodeling, but all in all, I was satisfied.

The Doctor is wonderful! Very little pain (and I am a "dental phobic"). I have other health issues and he always takes them all into account. My cosmetic work (6 porcelain veneers) and restorative work (5 crowns and a bridge - still in progress) makes me return from the East Coast to him when I plan a stay in San Diego. He is solicitous of my comfort. A couple of things: the office is newly renovated and looks nice, but the patient areas look disheveled. I am not used to seeing the instruments already out of their autoclaved packets, so I always ask when things have last been sterilized (one shouldn't have to ask). Secondly: the front-office staff changes over frequently and they seem not to have a clue; they also seem not to get along. They're nice enough, but make sure they stay on top of why you are there.
