To my everlasting regret, Brian Tasto worked on two teeth for me. The first was a crowned molar that he filled with amalgam. The repair was done so badly, the tooth decayed into the root. I then needed a root canal which was done by Brian's brother and partner, James Tasto. The crown he placed didn't fit correctly. Soon my jaw began to hurt. My complaints, which went on for over two years, were met with one excuse after another until finally James agreed to replace the crown. At no time did he inform me that problems might occur. But, shortly after the crown was redone, the molar developed an infection so serious that it had to be extracted by an oral surgeon. Lots of money was spent and the tooth was lost anyway.
During all this, Brian Tasto worked on a second tooth, next to the one described above. The crown he made also fitted badly. It has numerous problems and has to be replaced.
Never would I go back to, or recommend, either of these dentists. The office looks fine, but their dentistry has been a nightmare for me. The work they did has cost me both a molar and a fortune so far, with more work still needing to be done.

Dr. Brian Tasto has been my dentist for many years now. I came to him needing a lot of work and he has taken great care of me over the years. His office is very nice and the staff is always warm and pleasant. Their office is great about working with my dental insurance to make sure I can get my dentistry done with out having to pay a lot out of pocket. I recommend Dr. Brian Tasto to my friends and my whole family comes to his office. Who really enjoys going to the dentist? But at least I feel comfortable and I have someone I can trust.

About Hygienist: The Hygienists at Torrey Hills Dental are very good. There are a couple of Ladies that work there and they take their time explaining good oral hygiene and I can watch TV while I get my teeth cleaned. That's always a plus.

nice place, terrible dentist - every tooth he worked on had to be re-worked by another dentist. When he puts crowns on, doesn't clean the extra cement off which causes gum issues - painful. You've been warned.

Dr. Tasto is my dentist. My daughter, unfortunately, goes to another dentist covered under her father's insurance. My daughter had oral surgery the other day and, the same day, I couldn't even get my daughter's dentist on the phone after I feared she had an infection. Thank God Dr. Tasto didn't mind jumping on the phone to answer questions to help someone that isn't even his patient.
When I see him, I love the way he tells me about the things he doesn't look forward to when he has to get dental work done. It shows that he is human, reminds me that he also has to see a dentist and helps to know he knows what I'm going through.
