Dr. Yamada has been my dentist since I moved to Ocean Beach
in 1990. Many of my family have been to her office. My mother,
son and grandchildren. She did an excellent job with my grand children that were afraid. She offered them movies and made them comfortable. Everyone in the office is very professional.
They all work very well together. She also is a very important part of the neighbor hood, active in Ocean Beach business community

I had the worst experience using this dentist. The inlays she performed all had to be re-done at another dentist at considerable expense and pain. The other dentist (since retired) recommended that I either sue Dr. Yamada or file a complaint with the local dental society and supplied me with the x-rays and professional photos necessary. What a complete waste of time that was!!! The imbeciles at the San Diego County Dental Society purposely delayed examining me for over 1 yr and then arrogantly decided in Yamada's favor, with the explanation that they couldn't determine what had happened, since I already had the shoddy work re-done. Duh!!! Was I supposed to wait until my teeth rotted out of my mouth or became abcessed??? What a bunch of f**king IDIOTS!!! I was completely ripped off and not only had to undergo the pain of getting my teeth fixed, but had to pay twice!!! If this Yamada woman had any integrity whatsoever, she would have at least offered to refund 1/2 of my money. Thank God I found a good dentist (Dr.Park in Pacific Beach at 858 270-1400, 3023 Bunker Hill, #101) He is gentle, honest, affordable and the BEST dentist in San Diego.

dr.yamada dropped my dentures twice and never said opps,sorry,they are ok. nothing.plus i wanted to save some of my insurance for my gum operation but everytime i would go to appointment she woud use the 300 dollar laser on my teeth tht were going to get operated on later in the year. plus my wife had an extraction and she had to give her at least 15 pain shots in the mouth for one tooth??? also they are expensive , have to pay for there wireless system that each employee wears , in an office were you only need a intercom..
About Hygienist: the hygienist there is the best i have ever had , his name is kenneth and i told him he is selling his self short for working there. i give him 5 stars i give the dentist 2 stars....

I've been a patient of Dr. Yamada for 10 years. Her office has stable, friendly personnel and cutting-edge equipment and procedures. Dr. Yamada is very involved with the community, participating in lots of OB functions. She also hold parties and waterfront picnics for staff & patients. She donates a portion of her profits from whitening to fund the dental care of poor children. Her lobby has a children's play-room. I've heard her praised lavishly by her peers for her research, advanced procedures and equipment. The specialists she has refered me to are also great. Everyone in the office has a great sense of humor, so a visit to Dr. Yamada's office is always a pleasure.
