I was very pleased as I always am with this office and dentist. I was unsure of what to do about my appearance but Dr. Strum advised me that an implant would be my best alternative. I was given an appointment in a reasonable length of time. The procedure was pain free and the result was very natural.

About Front Desk: Always friendly. Will always take me on an emergency when I call. Reminds me of my appointments. Very helpful with insurance.

Hygiene rating:

About Hygienist: I always feel fresh and clean when I am finished. There are 3 hygienists in this office. I always have a good experience no matter which one I see.

I apparently had fillings more than 2 years ago. I was not sent a bill for these procedures until the present time (now two years later). The statement I was shown from Dr. Strum's office, from the insurance company, showed that it was billed through some other person's insurance company with a similar name to mine, and that the procedures were not fully covered. It is very shady that 1) I was sent a bill 2 years later and 2) the doctor's office could not explain to me why another patient's name and insurance company was put on the bill. I am skeptical here that the office may have tried to engage in balance billing here - that the procedure was fully covered by insurance, but the doctor chose to charge me an additional amount. outside of his contract negotiations with the insurance company. However, it is very difficult for me to go back and check my insurance plan from 2 years ago (since I now have different insurance) and again, it was 2 years ago. I will find an office that doesn't have such poor billing practices.

About Front Desk: The front staff was not helpful at all in billing practices, and could not even adequately explain to me why I am being now billed for supposed treatments from over 2 years ago, and why the bill itself had someone else's name on it. They just expect me to hand over $130+ dollars, no questions asked. Treating clients this way is unacceptable.

My family went there for almost 3 full years and had many different procedures done on top of our regular checkups but when I questioned Dr. Drew Strum calling out several cavities he was shocked. He wouldnt show me where he saw them in the X ray. Later I had 2 additional set of x rays of the same teeth he told me needed work due to cavities reviewed by 2 additional dentists. Both my 2nd and 3rd opinions on the same teeth told me they did not see anything in the x ray and that they was no need to drill out any cavity. I was even more scared because if I did not question him I believe he would have drilled perfectly healthy teeth in my mouth ultimately making them weaker.

On 11-11-08 Dr. Strum started a root canal on my tooth (# 3). The next morning most mouth became infected or inflamed. This condition caused me extreme pain and discomfort to the point I could not eat any solid foods. I began self treating and rinsing with a prescription antibiotic rinse (which was left over as a PRE- treatment to a dental Implant procedure I had early that year used only as a preventive) and Listerine to reduce the swelling. The rinsing cleared up the issue within a few days. I informed the Dr. Strum office of the situation and explained that I my opinion this was the fault of dirty instruments being used during my procedure. The office defended Dr. Strum but I informed them there services would no longer be needed. I do not have any proof but this had never happen before nor did it ever recur with any other dentist. Dr. Strum never completed service due his own Incompetence. I had to seek out a third party to complete the procedure.
