No pain at all. Excellent Doctor and staff! The doctor gave me something to numb then a shot and I really did not feel any pain. My tooth feels great!

Held off my third root canal over 2 years due to past experience with root canals done by another dentist. Dr. Dixon was recommended to me by a friend. This friend is very squeamish about dental work and gave Dr. Dixon two thumbs up! I made my appointment and found his facility neat and tidy and Dr. Dixon very professional explaining everything along the way. I have never experienced such a pain-free root canal and didn't have any of that fat-lip craziness associated with other dental procedures. Drove myself home and haven't had any trouble with that tooth since! I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Dr. Dixon for root canal. Even if your regular dentist performs his own root canals (as my previous two were done), ask to be referred to Dr. Dixon and let the specialist do the job!
About Front Desk: Actually, on my first visit the receptionist was busy and thus she came across as a little 'robot' like so I could see why one of the reviewers here had a hard time. But once you get to know her, she really is helpful and friendly. Dr. Dixon has his own practice so the receptionist is a do-all job there.

Well, let's face it, no one EVER wants to hear the words ROOT Canal. So far in my life I have had to have 3 done. Two of them were 6 years ago and the third one was last Tuesday, January 10, 2012. Dr. Dixon did all three of my root canals. Two were regular and one was surgical. He expertly guided my teeth though all the root canals. The other BIG factor is he guided ME through the root canals. The chairside manner he and his staff display is superb. He makes sure you are aware of the next step before he proceeds. The only "pain" involved is in the beginning when you have to get the numbing shot. They even give you numbing gel before that. Last Tuesday's procedure went smoothly as did the other two. I would also like to mention I have no dental insurance and I still chose to go there. I also drive 2 1/2 hours to get there. That's how good they are!!!! I hope if root canals come into your life you"ll call DR. D

Dr Dixon performed a root canal on my bicuspid. It had an extremely long root with a lateral canal' It was virtuallly painless! And I have a very low tolerance of pain!! Dr. Dixon has a very good chairside manner and is very professional and personable. I highly recommend him to anyone experiencing dental pain.

Very friendly and caring doctor and staff. He explained the procedure and was very comforting. I had no pain during or after my treatment. Much better experience than the other root canals I have had.
