I have been going to doctor Bentz for 20 years and when I moved to Breckenridge 15 years ago I still make the 2 hour trip for all my dental work. Most thorough and professional dentist I have ever seen. I have had fillings, veneers and a root canal and I have had zero issues with all procedures, extremely impressed and happy with everything

Dr Bentz does wonderful work. His fillings have lasted me many years now. Root canal and crown have given me no issues in many years since he did the work. Nice man, and excellent dentist. I now live about 20 miles away from his office, but I have not considered changing dentists.

The first time I saw Dr. Bentz was in 1986 when one of my fillings fell out at 4 pm. I was in a lot of pain and had just moved to Boulder so I didn't have a dentist at that time. After frantically calling many other dentists, Dr. Bentz agreed to see me the next morning, even though his office was closed that day. He's been my dentist ever since!
I have moved from Boulder and back again multiple times and every time I saw a different dentist, they would call everyone over to look at the amazing work done on my teeth.
Dr. Bentz is a perfectionist, but is also aware that not everyone wants to spend a fortune on their teeth. He does get the most out of our insurance dollars and with his preventative maintenance, assures me that I'll be able to keep my teeth my whole life!
About Hygienist: Their hygienist is very thorough yet gentle. I'm extremely sensitive to pain and always get the Nitrous Oxide, noise canceling headphones with music, warm neck wrap and blanket.

I addition to myself, wife and two sons treated by Dr. Bentz over the past fifteen years, we have found him to be extremely thorough and educational in his diagnosis and treatment recommendations. Before seeing Dr. Bentz, we learned that he graduated with honors from Marquette University of Dentistry, which made us confident in his competence. Our dental treatment needs were clearly demonstrated to us utilizing high technology intra-oral cameras and laser cavity detection."Seeing is believing"! We like Dr. Bentz's philosophy of diagnosing and treating in the early stages of tooth decay - thereby preventing more extensive and expensive treatments later on. Out treatments rendered with precision, utilizing Zeiss surgical magnification have been short of excellent, and have held up for over 15 years. We absolutely recommend Dr. Bents to anyone who values a high level of quality care and integrity. In addition, his staff of over 15 years is most caring and competent.

Dr. Bentz has always been the top dentist we've ever had. His facilities are "state of the art" and he prides himself and his staff of being the most knowledgeable of all of the latest dentistry know-how that's available.
Even on a Sunday he was able to see us with our emergency. He truly cares about his patients and loves his work.
About Hygienist: Joni has always with able to make me lauagh with all of her other gthings that she fills her life with after work. She has been great as a hygienist, explaining everything to me in detail as she works. She has been has been a solid part of Dr. Bentz's office for many years.

Our family, and many others we kow have been seen by Dr. Bentz for over a decade now. We find him to be the most thorough, skilled and compassionate dentist who has ever rendered dental treatment to us. When you are treated by Dr. Bentz (or review his webiste (www.michaelabentzdds.com)), you will readily find that he utilizes the very latest in technology for diagnosis as well as treatment--including high tech equipment, e.g. to measure cavaties (old-fashioned dental pick can't detect), Zeiss high powered magnification and intra-oral photography. These high tech insturments produce photos and laser cavity photos which are true representations of the conditions of an individual's total dental picutre!

Like other patients whose accounts I've now read, Dr. Bentz insisted that all of my old metal fillings had to be replaced. Had him do four in total and was never satisfied with the work - he just couldn't get the bite correct at all and I now have pressure and temperature sensitivity whereas I previously had none.
After switching dentists, it turns out that Dr. Bentz was overly aggressive in grinding the old filling debris away and now at least one of my teeth is now more like an empty eggshell - meaning I'll likely need a crown someday.
Should have realized that something was up when his office was super eager to pile in as much work as possible before the end of the calendar year to extract the insurance money.
Run as far away as possible. I'll never go back and will make sure none of my friends suffer the same fate, either.

This dentist will over-diagnose you. His work will look great, unfortunately, so much of it will have been unneccessary it will have an overall negative impact because everytime work is done more of your actual tooth material is removed.
I woudn't send my worst enemy to him.
After going in for a cleaning, he received over $13,000 of my money before he was done "fixing" things that did not need drastic treatment. I have since needed $17,000 to have follow up root canals, crowns and extractions.
Please, please stay away for your own good.
