I went to Dr. Gitlin for approximately 5-6 years. Thank God my insurance changed and he didn't accept it. In those years I had cavities every single appointment. I'm in my 40s and hadn't had a cavity in 15+ years. Dr Gitlin claimed my teeth were getting soft. Well, after he stopped taking my insurance I didn't go to the Dentist for about 3 years because I was scared and tired of the drilling every 6 months. I've now been to my new dentist for 1.5 years and not a single cavity! To make it worse both of my boys had the exact same experience, though they're much younger, my older boy claimed Dr Gitlin pushed so hard with his pick that he created cavities. I thought he was crazy then, but now I'm not so sure. If you go to him and have lots of cavities, I strongly suggest a new dentist!

Dr. Gitlin is very Friendly as are his staff, however services were more expensive than were quoted initially.

I went here years ago on the recommendation of a coworker. I had moved and been lazy about seeing the dentist for about two years. Thiswaiting turned out to be a dumb decision, because x-rays showed that I had the first cavities of my life. I was at first incredulous, and asked to see the xrays myself. Dr. Gitlin didn't take this as an affront, but patiently showed me the cavities in the xrays. Since my teeth were otherwise strong, he did the minimum necessary to fix them, drilling very small holes so as not to weaken the tooth. On subsequent visits I was pleased in that he doesn't rush to find problems -- he will wait to make sure your teeth really need fixing. He also is willing to explain the technical details of what he is doing. The office staff is great -- friendly, professional and attentive. As an added bonus, there's a grocery store and a liquor store in the same complex - you can do your shopping and if the pain is too much, hit the liquor store after your office visit. Seriously, that wasn't necessary.

We love Dr. Gitlin. He's extremely professional and also funny, pleasant and makes his patients at ease.

Has been my dentist for several years now. Very good. Really love talking to him about politics, etc.
