9 year old boy denied treatment over parent's request to turn down the volume of the TV so that mother could hear her child from behind closed doors, since she was not allowed to be present and had to sign written consent banning her from the exam room.
Dr. Frank Acosta has been the worst dental experience for a parent of a child. The TV was blasting on high volume, and the radio was playing simultaneously in a small reception area. They make you sign written consent disallowing you from the treatment room. I did and agreed to wait outside. I asked if we could turn the TV down a little so that I could hear if my child calls me. He refused and said he wasn't going to treat my child and that there were "trust issues". All of this after we waited for an hour, I took a day off work, pulled little kid out of school for dental visit that he really needed, just to have the dentist inform you that he doesn't want to treat your child. My son was standing there, stressed, and did not comprehend why this doctor didn't want to help him. My requests to render treatment were futile. Dr. Acosta didn't care about our disrupted day, missed classes, and emotional toll his actions took on a 9 year old child.
I do not recommend this dentist.

Dr. Frank Acosta is beyond being another great dentist. He is an expert in human relations and an exceptional dentist as a skill and love. I have been on both sides of the equation, working for a dentist and having extensive work done by dentist. He is a champion, a Heisman, and a gold medalist in the sport of dentistry! The transition from one dentist to another was a slow process but I am so pleased that I was led to Dr. Frank Acosta.
About Hygienist: The hygienist did a gentle and thorough job as well.

Dr. Frank Acosta is not only a great dentist but a very good man. He treats you with courtesy and respect. His professional work is outstanding; he makes you feel very comfortable and the treatment is painless. I highly recommend Dr. Acosta, never had a dentist of such professionalism and kindness.

beware of hidden charges. Very nice office and staff. Dr Acosta is also very nice. They are good with kids. But if you have no insurance make sure you get the price before procedure.
