Dr Whiteman keeps up on the latest incredible dental innovations. Like the on-lay machine that routes a perfect replacement for large fillings. Old technology called for the typical crown chop, root canal, post, temporary crown and permanent crown routine. With Dr Whitemans new onlay technology he avoided chopping any healthy part of the tooth and routed a perfect replacement tooth part instead of the usual routine of chopping the tooth off and having a crown made is some dental lab. The best part is that it was done all in one visit.
I had one tooth that was cracked vertically into the root. Instead of pulling the tooth, he custom made a perfect replacement onlay crown that held the tooth together to give it time to heal. It worked! Although a bit risky it was much better than pulling the tooth.
He also uses a new advanced laser to check for oral cancer.
Although he has not participated, he was telling me that stem cells have been used to grow new tooth enamel in soldiers that have mouth injuries from Iraq.
Simply put, Dr Whiteman is up on the latest technology and keeps the patient well informed. He's just simply the best dentist I have ever known.
About Hygienist: Dr Whitemans hygienist also use the latest technology and do a terrific job. I drink a lot of tea that stains my teeth. They know how to get it off.

Rex Whiteman and Staff are very professional, kind, and knowledgeble at what they do. They have been handling my choppers since I was a pre teen. The Best In Norcross if not the best in Atlanta!!!

Dr. Whiteman has provided me with outstanding care for over 18 years. His office staff is very courteous, caring and professional. Dr. Whiteman really enjoys dentistry and takes a lot of time to explain the treatment. He is very caring and has all the latest technology and equipment. He is extremely knowledgeable and keeps up with all the latest innovations. I have always been extremely pleased with the care I have received.

I have been a patient since 1991. Having had several dentists since childhood, I can say that Dr. Whiteman is by far the most effective, pleasant and pain free of them all. His priority is to get you healthy and stay that way. He and his excellent staff go out of their way to educate and encourage you on how to take care of yourself to maintain long-term dental health and hygiene. The term 'minimal invasiveness' comes to mind.
He's firm, yet caring; serious, yet friendly; assertive, yet ethical - all the things an outstanding caregiver should be. And yes, the costs are very reasonable, especially considering the Class A level of treatment provided.

I saw Dr. Whiteman back in 1984 and as a single Mom with limited income and the need to make payments, I was overwhelmed by his kind nature, humor and absolute detail to every dental procedure he performed! I needed a root canal on one of my front teeth and due to infection, he placed a drain tube to help drain the infection. He was so attentive to my needs when I was in pain and followed up with calls to ensure my comfort. As most of us would attest, your front teeth make a huge difference in your smile - Dr. Whiteman capped four of my front teeth and in 2005 their still perfect! No additional work has been needed in all these years and I've had a lot of compliments on my beautiful smile. Of course, they don't even know that those four front teeth are capped! Thank you Dr. Whiteman, you're the best!

Rex has done both a crown and Onlay for me. I left a well known and successful dental practise for Rex for a number of reasons.
Rex has many years experience doing Onlays using an inhouse machines which was great. for me.
Rex does his own work, and takes his time with each patient. For the major work, I was the only patient in the office.
Really nice guy who just wants to practice medicine his way, not get rich.
