Dr. Hayhurst is a very good dentist for people who are afraid to go to the dentist office. Always asks about how you are doing and feel I would recommend, only negative it would help to have insurance.

About Front Desk: The front desk staff are great, Jen is the best and helps you with any problem you might have.

About Hygienist: They are very nice and give good patient care.

very professional and fast. no pain. I have always been terrified of dentist but he made me feel a lot better about being in a dental office

I had 2 veneers put in place because Dr Hayhurst recommended it since I had some chipped teeth. In the summer of 2011 I went ahead and got the dental work done. This year in August and October I ended up having abscess infections one in each tooth and both resulted in root canals! All in all I spent 2 grand to have my teeth looking nice then another 2 grand fixing them because they ended in infections! Is this coincidental that the only work he did on my teeth gave me the worse pain of my life along with financial hardship.

About Front Desk: Entire staff Helpful but very pushy, their goal was to sell me more services! Even when I made it clear it wasn't in my budget to do so the entire staff would consistently press me to get other dental work done.

Dr. Scott Hayhurst and his staff are professional and competent. At your first appointment you fill out a form stating what you would like to happen regarding the current treatment and list any future desires you might have regarding your dental health. Dr. Hayhurst consults this form in providing a plan for first improving your dental health, and second for giving you cosmetic dental options. If you want a proactive dentist I would recommend Dr. Hayhurst. (Treatment: root canals, crowns, bridge, cavities, teeth cleaning, invisalign).

I have had crowns, root canals and fillings. Dr. Hayhurst explains everything he is doing and puts me at ease. He works well with his staff to make sure my appointments are on time and proffessiona! His offices are clean and up to date! He is the best dentist I have ever had!l

About Hygienist: Kathy is friendly and thorough. She makes sure I am comfortable at all times and is very thorough in her cleaning!

I came to this office only because of promotion I received in the mail to receive exam with X-rays,have teeth cleaned and teeth whitener all for $99. After being disconnected 3 times I was finally able to make the initial appointment. Then on the big day I waited for 20 minutes before even being acknowledged by anyone. No one was at the front desk or in office at all, as I and another patient waited in the hopes someone would check us in soon. Then after a good 20-25 min, 4 office girls all come in at once, as they all had a late lunch together. Crazy. Then hygienist says I need little extra scraping & it's going to cost $170 instead of $99. Then office girl asks if I was told there would be an additional $95 for X-rays on top of that! What a racket! Hayhurst did quick exam and recommended I have crowns replace two existing fillings ($2000-not needed). The office girl went over cost with me and there was an additional crown recommendation for $1000 for a tooth hayhurst said I had a small cavity. When I pointed this out she was very condescending & said I was "confused" & argued with me only until the hygienist came in to confirm I was right & should have been cost if $250 not $1000. spent 2 hrs 1st day, 5 min of teeth cleaning!

About Front Desk: Horrible service! Most unprofessional office I have ever been to! I feel they are running a scam promo to get you in the door, not provide what they offer and then try & gouge you with more expenses! After stating I was clearly disappointed she says quietly, "oh, we will just waive that extra charge, it's no big deal to us". Then I give my credit card to pay in full and they run it for the over charged amount anyway and had to wait for a refund only to be sent a bill in mail for the overcharged amount! Unfortunately, I made appointment for my boyfriend before I had this experience and they tried to overcharge him too plus short him on teeth whitening gel! What a racket! Beware!

About Hygienist: Hygienist was well mannered and pretty gentle but obviously part of the scam. A promo to clean teeth for certain $ should remain that amount. Boyfriend Did not receive full cleaning because refused to pay extra and we both wasted several hours of our time here. Spent 5 min cleaning my teeth 1st day and made me come back to complete the additional 15 min of cleaning

This was the worst dental experience ever. Dr. Hayhurst charged me almost $1000 for services I did not receive because of his own mis diagnosis. He said he should not have to incur the cost of his mistake thereby passing it on to te patient. When trying to dispute the charge over the phone, he was incredicably rude.

Had dentures done, should have only paid half the amout until the dentures were completed and fit properly. Lab used by Dr. Hayhurst doesn't not speak highly of his relationship with them or the City of Boise. I would not recommend this dentist to anyone else.
