I had a root canal done by Dr Hirschman and it failed. He would not guarantee his work. So i was left without a choice and i had to have another root canal. Which means my insurance was charge twice for the same procedure and left me to pay out of pocket expenses twice. Needless to say i went to another specialist. Very disappointed and frustrated to say the least!!!!!!!!!!!

I had a root canal done two months ago, and I am still experiencing extreme pain. After informing Dr. Hirschman he instructed me to come into the office, i did so and he couldn't understand why i was in sooo much pain. He prescribed some medication which hasnt done anything. So far I have taken three different medications, and nothing has helped. He claimed the surgery was a success, but I beg to differ. Horrible experience overrall, and I wish I had never had this procedure done. I have had root canals done before, and they were both pain free with another endodontist. But I wish I had stuck with the other doctor. I am miserable!!!! And now he wants me to come back to see him again. For What???? If he can't figure out the solution, I wish he would refer me to someone else.

I saw "Dr. Brad" b/c his father was on vacation. Went to the Huntington Woods office, which was nice. I had seen his father for my initial consultation, and was so worked up that I cried (I asked about gas, and he said they didn't use it, but I was really anxious about injecting the novocaine)! So, I called in a few days before my root canal and got a xanax to take b/c I had waited so long and worked myself up so badly! Plus, I had never had to have anything drilled before. But Dr. Brad was really nice and professional, and I hardly felt a thing when he injected my gums. I have to go back b/c I have a particularly tough case, but I am much less anxious this time b/c he did such a good job! If you are anxious about the drilling or the injection (like me!) I would highly recommend him! His dad might be a little too much for kids (he said himself his son as nicer--he was joking, but i would agree--at least that his son has a bit of a better bedside manner!). Also, the son is a bit cheaper, and since I was paying out of pocket, that was a nice relief! It is probably b/c he has less experience, so that might change in the future! An added bonus: everyone who works there is super nice!

I am a difficult patient as I am so scared and nervous. If you have to have a root canal, I highly recommend this practice. Everyone in the office was so nice. I feel it was as good as an experience as it could be under the circumstances. They were all so kind.
