While dental costs are high here, I do think he is a good starting point for those without dental insurance. He offers very low cost x-rays and consultations to get you in the door. If you are not sure what your dental health is this will give you a good idea. He gave me an estimate and detailed all the work I would need so I could shop around if I wanted. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The only thing I didn't care for was the office looked a little run down.

The front desk is always very friendly here. I love my hygienist Dawn! She is obviously very passionate about dental hygiene. :) I've been going there for about 5 years because, even though I think they may be on the expensive side, I like the fact that they use the latest technology to clean my teeth (sonic cleaning) and use lasers to check for cavities. I have heard a couple of people tell me that their (amalgam, no drilling) fillings didn't last too long, but I haven't had any experience with that yet myself.

This practice seems very money oriented. I had to have a root canal completely re-worked by a specialist after Dr. Katz's mistakes--extremely painful for one full week and expensive. He reluctantly refunded me the money for this messed up root canal. I also was improperly treated for TMJ and sold a bite guard that worsened my TMJ and was later identified by 2 other dentists as a "$20 piece of junk (temporary) bite guard". Unfortunately my dental insurance will only pay for one bite guard per/year and that was it--billed to my insurance for nearly $500. I had to pay $600 out-of- pocket for the proper bite guard I have been using nightly for the past 2 years with great success. My sister and husband also had similar fiascos with Dr. Katz . My sister has had to have much of her work re-done at another dentist --yet a third dentist's opinion to the other two I consulted! Stay away!!!!
