We found Dr. Cooke's office to be both shady and shoddy. My daughter came down with dry socket twice. She has never had a dental issue in her entire life and yet became infected through Dr. Cooke's procedure, and had to go through two rounds of antibiotics.
Before agreeing to have Dr. Cooke complete the procedure, we requested and received a summary of benefits. We were told our portion would be approximately $450. By the time Dr. Cooke filed with our insurance, a prior claim had been filed reducing our insurance coverage by $125. One would logically assume our portion would be the $450 plus the $125. Big mistake in that assumption.
Because the insurance company failed to pay the $125, Dr Cooke's office charged us - for the SAME exact service - $400!! We now owed $450 plus an additional $400.
Making sure this is crystal clear - Dr. Cooke's office was willing to accept $125 from our insurance for a specific service. When our insurance company failed to pay that $125, Dr. Cooke charged us $400 for THE EXACT SAME SERVICE.
Run, don't walk, away from this doctor. Your child ends up with severe infection, and they are crooks, out to collect every dime they can.
