Over the years, I have had a few fillings, 5 crowns, and 2 root canals. The results with the fillings and crowns were excellent. I would not recommend Dr Couchman for root canals, however.
For one root canal, a machine broke in the middle of the procedure (and no backup machine) resulting a total time of 4 hours over 2 office visits, rather than 1.5 hours over 1 office visit as expected. Then, the root canal I had a few years prior became reinfected. After visiting an endodontist to have the root canal redone, I learned that Dr Couchman had not cleaned out 2 of the 4 roots in the molar at all, and the 2 roots that he had treated were not cleaned out thoroughly.
Patient comfort could be improved as well. Dr Couchman uses a hard plastic dental dam during major dental work that is not very comfortable. I always felt like I was going to swallow my tongue.
I have since switched to a dentist with better success as far as comfort and treatment effectiveness.
