Although Dr Hockman is a very competant and knowlegeable dentist, his hours are very limited. He has only daytime hours and no weekends which are very restrictive for those that work daytime hours.
I also don't like that most services - extractions and root canals are referred to outside oral surgeons etc. which can be quite exprensive.

I brought my ten year old son to Dr. Hockman and was very pleased with our visit. My son did have a small cavity on a baby tooth. Dr. Hockman was honest with me and told me that it was not necessary to get involved with filling the tooth because it was a small cavity on a baby tooth and it would fall out before it became a problem. The tooth did fall out on its own shortly thereafter, just as he said it would. In my experience, a dentist who is honest and does not recommend x rays and work that is not necessarily needed is rare. I did end up letting him seal the back molars which were adult teeth and the price was reasonable.

This doctor is good. The facility is clean and the staff is very friendly.

Dr. Hockman is a great dentist and very knowledgeable in his field, however he doesn't practice the use of wearing gloves when examining/working on a patients mouth. He does wash his hands before and after patient contact but still this is very disturbing.
